Opinion

Wow this episode was amazing, although it didn't felt like a mid-season-finale. Yes a lot is happening and old characters are popping out everywhere, but I missed a hughe cliffhanger at the end. None the less...Awesome.

We start with a scene of Chuck and it seems he really turned mad, which I found a bit strange. Was he always like this or just recently? This behavior is more like Lucifers, who he locked away, because he destroyed his work. Still don't know what to think about this, but we will see. God, more than Lucifer, seems like a little child. If things not happening their way, they get mad. No wonder Luce was Chucks favorite, they are much alike. And that's almost all about god in this episode.

Most of the episode the boys are searching for Michael and so they are going to the cage, which I found irritating. Because, isn't hell empty? I mean god crashed the gates so every soul got out and that means everyone. So Sam and Dean are not dumb, but didn't it occured to them, that maybe Michael isn't there anymore?!

But eitherway they found something in hell, after some Demons wiped the floor with them. Rowena is back! So much comebacks in this episode. And she is the Queen of hell, which surely is the best thing ever happened. I am so glad she is back and she will be great and she looks amazing by the way. Of course they are still besties so she helps them to find Michael, although it didn't work. Ah I sense something really great for the future, so because hell is in her hands now, there is a thread less to worry, right?

Because Michael is nowhere to be found, our last guest appears, Donatello. I really love this grumpy old prophet. He clearly doesn't want anything to do with this stuff, but helps either way, he is just so funny and likeable. I really enjoy his scenes.

Much more important, Adam ist back! Finally, after 10 years he is out of the cage. And kudos to Jake Abel, astonishing acting. He played Adam and Michael so well, you could se the difference right away. By the way, since when is Michael that nice? I think we are all a bit corrupted by the Apocalypse-Michael, but this one is quite likeable. Seems like some years in a cage can change even an archangel. Although he is a bit stiff, as to say it in Cas' words, which he clearly has from Dean: "You had an entire Oaktree shoved up your ass". I really liked the converstaion between him and Adam and that he even listens to him, 10 years ago this wouldn't have happened. So Michael gave the Boys a hughe advantage and I hope we will see him again. I am really liking him and someone needs to rule heaven sooner or later right? Oh and the way he pulverised Lilith, best scene, in the episode.

Last but not least Dean and Cas are acting like and old couple. They talk, but it seems stiff and formal. I really liked how Rowena wanted to fix it. But at least, they are on the way to normal, that is progress. They will definetly bond again soon, I can sense that.

Conclusion

Clearly Sam and Dean aren't the center in this episode, but that's ok, because so much is happening, so fast. It was a real joy to watch and over far too soon.
